We cannot fathom how half an academic year has passed already in year 3! We have learnt lots but must continue to stay focused in order to learn everything we will need for year 4. We continue to build upon our current knowledge in English and Maths and enjoy the challenge the work is providing us!
The remainder of the academic year will focus on year 3 learning about History based topics. Currently, we are learning about World War 2 but this will progress onto Anglo-Saxons come the arrival of the Summer term. We have recently carried out our Wow Event and made allotments with members of our family. The allotments produced were fantastic and the children were eager to take them home the next day. When we reach the summer term, we will be able to enjoy a day based around our topic! An event that will no doubt be filled with exciting activities!
Here is to a great second half of the year!
Year 3 had the privilege of experiencing their Wow Event on Friday 2nd February. This event provided their families the opportunity to come into school for the afternoon and work with their children to create an allotment- our photographs are on the website. This theme came from our current topic which is World War 2. It was an event the children and their families really enjoyed with parents leaving lots of wonderful comments. The work produced was also to a very high standard and the children were very proud of their efforts!
