On Wednesday 16th November 2016, during National Parliament Week, Year 6 were lucky enough to be able to visit the Houses of Parliament! We were taken on a guided tour around the Palace of Westminster, visiting the Royal gallery, the Central Lobby, Westminster Hall and St Stephen's Hall. As it was Prime minster's questions that day, we were unfortunate not to be able to visit the public viewing gallery but we were still able to see some members of parliament who worked in the building and got to speak to a member of staff who worked for our local MP. We also had a workshop learning about how the monarchs and parliament have developed over time. It was an enjoyable trip!
