Art and Well-being Week

Week beginning 18th June 2018

Children looked specifically at the work of Gustav Klimt and created pieces of Art work based on the painting ‘Tree of life’.

Year 5 & 6: Clay collage

Year 3 & 4: Weaving trees

Year 2: Pipe cleaner sculptures

Year 1: Printing

All classes incorporated ‘brain breaks’ and colouring for mindfulness into their week to improve our well-being.  Every child designed a leaf for our version of Gustav Klimt's "Tree of Life".  Which you can see on the end of our Art demountable.

On Wednesday 4th July, 4 children from year 3 attended an Art workshop at Phoenix Primary School working with other children from the local area to complete a variety of Art activities. The children completed a collage, animal junk modelling, building with Lego and the messy ‘fashion show’ where Mr Evans modelled the an outfit designed by the children - video to follow!! The children had a great day.
