We have daily assemblies starting at 09:00 to 09:15 are scheduled;
Monday - Prefect/Whole School
Tuesday -In class Assembly
Wednesday - In class Assembly
Thursday - In class Assembly
Friday - Whole School Celebration Assembly
At 8:40am the main gates are open, parents take their children to the classroom door and children enter the classroom. They come into the classroom and settle quickly to their early morning work. At the end of the day parents gather on the playground to meet their children as they leave their classrooms. This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school. If normal arrangements have to be altered (eg; you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know to avoid any confusion or upset. For safeguarding reasons we will not release children to any other adults without parental consent.
At 10:15am, all children have a short break and a quick burst of exercise. Tuck shop is open for home cooked snacks and fruit/ healthy snacks. Break finishes at 10:30am.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have their lunch at 12:10pm and their break ends at 1.10pm. Those in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 have lunch at 12.25pm and their break ends at 13:25pm.
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely.
