Welcome toNoak Bridge Primary SchoolExcellence, Growth, Achievement.

Parents and Friends Assocation - PFA

Dear Parents/careers

A very warm welcome back to everyone and a big welcome to all the new parents.

We’d like to take you through all the exciting events we have lined up until Christmas and also make you aware of some changes we’ve made.

  • AGM - this is being held on Friday 20th September at the Noak Bridge Pub 8pm - 9pm - everyone welcome (see poster attached).

  • Disco Dress Down Day – this will be held on Friday 4th October and is free of charge.  All children can wear their disco outfits, although please ensure that clothing is practical for a normal school day and that sensible footwear, and no jewellery, is taken into consideration.

  • School Disco Friday 4th October 3.15pm - 4.45pm. The disco will be starting straight from school so if your child will be attending then no need to collect them until 4.45pm as they will be taken straight to the hall.  The ticket price is £4.50 which will include drinks, crisps, haribos, cakes and glow sticks. Tickets can be purchased through the following website:

www.pta-events.co.uk/nbpfa

  • Crazy Hair Day – this will be held on the last day of term, Friday 25th October.  £1 to be handed to the class teacher.

  • Firework Cake Sale – Thursday 7th & Friday 8th November for the children to purchase cakes during school hours.  All cakes 50p.  Parents: If you’d like to donate some yummy cakes to sell, please let us know.
  • Christmas Bazaar – this will be held at the school on Sunday 24th November 1pm – 3.30pm.

  • Christmas Gift Sale – this will be held on Tuesday 10th & Wednesday 11th December for the children to purchase gifts during school hours.

  • Southend Adventure Island Tickets – we still have some red/green tickets available which can be purchased via www.pta-events.co.uk/nbpfa

If anyone is free to help at these events, please do let us know.

So that we are in line with the school we will be moving to an online payment platform for some of our events, the disco being the first.  We cannot accept cash for this event.  A step-by-step guide is attached of how to buy tickets.

We will still be using cash for the cake and gift sales as the children really seem to enjoy selecting and paying for the items themselves at these events.

Should anyone wish to discuss any of the above, please feel free to contact us on nb.pfa@hotmail.com or via your year rep or even leave a note for us at the school office.

Kind regards

What is Noak Bridge PFA?

We are a group of parents who all give our time on a voluntary basis to organise and run fundraising (and hopefully fun!) activities for those in our school community. Our aim is to use the funds we raise to provide ‘extras’ for the school.

In addition, the school gives us a ‘wish list’ of items they feel would be of benefit.

PFA Events

Our main fundraisers of the year are the Summer Fete and Christmas Bazaar – they both take place on a Saturday afternoon towards the end of the Summer and Autumn terms. Other events through the year can include Mother’s/Father’s Day sales, non-uniform days, disco's, doughnut days and cake sales. If you have ideas for any other events, please speak to a member of the PFA or come along to our next meeting…

Other ways to fundraise

Please encourage family and friends to come along to our events and donate items for our events so that we can raise more money for the PFA, in order to benefit our school.
